The qualified person who inspects the jib crane is responsible for the scope and type of inspection.
In addition to the points described here, all points outlined in the other supplied product manuals must also be checked.
The decision whether the jib crane is in a flawless condition is the sole responsibility of the examiner. If defects are identified, they must be repaired. The examiner decides whether the jib crane must undergo another inspection after repair.
If locally applicable regulations specify further tests, these are likewise to be carried out.
In addition, the following points must be checked at the least:
Inspect the nuts and lock
nuts of the pillar mounting. See Inspecting
the hexagonal nuts and lock nuts on the pillar mounting.
When there is a dowel
plate and intermediate plate: inspect the pillar base fastening. See Inspecting the
pillar base mounting.
Inspect the clamping
buffer. It must be in order and be tightened to the correct tightening torque.
Otherwise replace the clamping buffer or tighten it. See Installing the clamping buffer.
Inspect the lift-off
prevention device in the pillar. It must be in order and be tightened to the
correct tightening torque. Otherwise install the lift-off prevention device
correctly. See Installing the lift-off
prevention device in the pillar.
Inspect the slewing gear
overrun. See Inspecting the slewing gear
overrun.
Inspect the jib arm. The
running surface of the hoist trolley must be damaged or severely worn. Otherwise
contact ABUS Service. See ABUS
Service.
Inspect the ribs on the
pillar base. They must not exhibit any cracking or other signs of damage.

Inspect the jib bracket.
It must not exhibit any cracking or other signs of damage. Otherwise contact
ABUS Service. See ABUS
