The qualified person inspecting the crane is responsible for the type and scope of the test.
In addition to the points described here, all points outlined in the other supplied product manuals must also be checked.
The decision as to whether the crane is in perfect condition may be made only by the person inspecting the crane. Any inadequacies, if found, must be eliminated. The examiner decides whether the crane has to be tested again afterward.
If locally applicable regulations specify further tests, these are likewise to be carried out.
Additionally, at least the following points must be inspected:
Read out the operating data and the load population recorder for further calculation of the remaining service life. See Reading operating data and load population recorder.
During normal operative travel of the top hoist limiter: test backup limiter. See Testing backup limiter.
