The hoist motor is electrically measured when the crane is started. During the measurement, certain electrical values of the hoist motor are checked with a test current. These measurement results are compared by the frequency converter with the measurement results from the initial start-up of the crane at the commissioning and the frequency converter is set accordingly. In this way, the frequency converter can take into account the thermal state of the hoist motor during running operation.

The measurement can be deactivated upon starting the crane. See Setting advanced parameters for hoist profile [2]. The thermal state of the hoist motor is then no longer taken into account.

With this function, the measurement from the initial start-up of the crane at the commissioning is deleted and the parameters are transferred again. The scope of the parameter transfer is the same as in the section Parametrizing frequency converters [1] [2].

For this work step, access from a laptop or tablet computer to KranOS is necessary. The user "Abnahme" (commissioning) (user level ‚[2]) or "Service" (user level [1]) must be logged in.

   Log in to KranOS with user "Service" (user level ‚[1]) or "Abnahme" (commissioning) (user level [2]). See Connecting laptop or tablet computer with ABUControl.

   In the start window: Click on the "Movement profile" menu item in the "Settings" menu (three horizontal bars).

●   The "Movement profile" window appears.

   Click the "Reset frequency converter to factory setting" button.

●   The message "F0007: Frequency converter reset. Switch crane on and off" is displayed.

   Switch off the crane at the circuit isolator or mains switch.

   Wait 60 seconds.

   Make certain that the hoist motors have cooled down to the ambient temperature.

Otherwise the measurement may be falsified and the thermal state of the hoist motor cannot be correctly taken into account.

   Switch the crane on again.

●   ABUControl will restart.

●   On the hoist motor or hoist motors: The motor measurement at the commissioning is performed and the measurement results are saved.

●   On all frequency converters: All frequency converters will additionally be reparametrized during the restart.
