If the deflection roller is damaged, it must be replaced.
The procedure for replacing the deflection rollers on a wire rope hoist with one deflection roller (reeving 4/2) is shown below. The replacement procedure does not differ significantly for wire rope hoists with two deflection rollers (reeving 6/2).
