For repairs or replacement it may be necessary to remove the wheels.
To be able to disassemble the wheels on the non-driven side, the wheel carriers must first be disassembled. See Disassembling and installing the wheel carrier.
The motor-driven and the belt-driven wheel cannot be replaced individually. These wheels must be replaced together with the installed wheel carrier. See Disassembling and installing the wheel carrier.
Only the non-driven wheels can be replaced individually.
The pictures show the procedure on a GM 1000 modular wire rope hoist. The procedure on GM 800 does not differ significantly from this.

Remove the inside circlip.
Pull the wheel with the deep groove ball bearing from the wheel
carrier.

Place the wheel with the deep groove ball bearing onto the wheel
carrier.
Clip the circlip into place.
