Exchanging the fixed point crosshead with rope socket and rope wedge

 

If the fixed point crosshead, the rope socket or the rope wedge are damaged, they must be replaced.

 

Disassembling the fixed point crosshead

Only with wire rope hoist with hoist drive GM 800 to GM 3000

On a wire rope hoist with hoist drive GM 800 to GM 3000, the fixed point crosshead hangs on bearing bushes and is secured with bolts and SL safety clips.

*   Pull the SL safety clips (2x) from the bolts.

*   Pull the bolts (2x) out of the fixed point crosshead.

*   Lift the fixed point crosshead from the bearing bushes.

 

 

 

 

Only with wire rope hoist with hoist drive GM 5000 to GM 7000

On a wire rope hoist with hoist drive GM 5000 to GM 7000, the fixed point crosshead hangs on bearing bushes and is secured to the side panels on the trolley frame using a laterally inserted bolt with a cover.

*   Release the rib screws on the cover.

*   Take the cover off the bolt.

*   Pull the bolt out of the fixed point crosshead and the side panels.

*   Pull the fixed point crosshead out of the trolley frame.

This section only applies to a wire rope hoist with hoist drive GM 800 to GM 3000 with a load indicator system LIS-SE.

For a wire rope hoist with a load indicator system LIS-SE, the rope socket is fastened to the fixed point crosshead with a bolt and an SL safety clip.

*   Pull the bolt out of the fixed point crosshead and the rope socket.

For a wire rope hoist with a load indicator system LIS-SE, the rope socket is fastened to the fixed point crosshead with a measurement bolt and a cover.

*   Lay the end of the wire rope around the rope wedge.

The wire rope must lie level in the groove of the rope wedge!

Rope socket

*   Lubricate the rope socket.

Lubricant: “High temperature paste PBC 1574”. For details, see Lubricants.

Do not lubricate the measurement bolt / collar bolt or the fixed point crosshead. No lubricant should contact the fixed point crosshead.

 

 

Installing the rope socket

The arrow on the measurement bolt must point downward!

*   Check the mount for deformations.

If the mount is deformed, it must be replaced.

*   Slide the mount onto the measurement bolt.

The mount must allow itself to be inserted into the groove of the measurement bolt without tension.

The measurement bolt should not have any pretension!

*   Screw on the mount with the rib screw M6x12. 19 Nm.

For a wire rope hoist with a load indicator system LIS-SV or ABUControl, the rope socket is fastened to the fixed point crosshead with a measurement bolt and a mount.
