In tandem operation, the ABUControl controls of both cranes are wirelessly connected together and mutually transmit the normal operating modes via a radio data transmission module.
If a radio data transmission module is faulty, it must be replaced.
The radio data transmission module of the crane and of the partner crane must be coupled wiith each other in pairs in order to exchange data. For this reason, the faulty radio data transmission module as well as the partner crane must be exchanged in pairs.
The radio data transmission module is connected with an Ethernet network cable with an Ethernet switch, this in turn with the PLC and other Ethernet network devices.
The radio data transmission module is thus generally not connected to the PLC via CAN bus, but instead by Ethernet.
On both cranes:
Switch off the crane. See Switching off the crane.
Remove or disconnect connection cables from the faulty radio data transmission module.
Uninstall faulty radio data transmission module.
Install new radio data transmission module.
Plug in connection cables.
Switch the crane on.
