Disassembling the inner wheel on the 8-wheel crane

If the wheel is damaged or worn, it must be replaced by a new wheel.

 

The figures show the disassembly of a size 420 wheel. The removal of other wheels does not essentially differ from this

 

Preparing the crane

*   Comply with occupational health and safety requirements.

*   Prop up the end carriage close to the wheel.

 

 

Exposing the wheel

Rib screws

*   Unscrew the rib screws.

*   Take off the cover.

 

 

Coupling bar

 

Flanged bolt

 

*   Push out the flanged bolt.

*   Disassemble the coupling bar on the other end carriage using the same procedure.

*   Remove the coupling bar.

 

 

Removing the wheel

 

Circlip

*   Remove the circlip.

*   Take out the bolt and distance bush.

*   Take out the wheel.

*   Secure the wheel to prevent it from dropping.
