Installing C-rails

Only with power supplies using a festoon cable system in the C-rail system and for mobile control

 

The C-rail system for the festoon cable system and/or for the mobile control is now installed.

The C-rail system is only required if the power supply uses a festoon cable system in the cable carrier on a C-rail, or if there is a mobile control.

	The figures show the installation of a C-rail system on a steel HB profile rail of size HB150S. The installation on larger or smaller HB profile rails does not essentially differ.
	The figures show the installation of a C-rail for the power supply. The installation of a C-rail for the mobile control is the same.
	The side on which the C-rail is installed is specified in the planning documents.

 

If the power supply is installed via C-rail and a mobile control is additionally mounted, the power supply and the mobile control will each have their own C-rails with separate mounting brackets.

If a C-rail for a mobile control is installed together with a VKL conductor system on the same exterior side, the C-rail for the mobile control with the mounting brackets must be installed above the VKL conductor system.

    The positions and distances between mounting brackets can be found in the layout plan.

─     The C-rail of the power supply runs parallel to the HB profile rail over the entire length.

─     The C-rail of the mobile control runs parallel to the HB profile rail over the entire length or runs only between the two suspensions.

    Turn the head nut in the longitudinal direction and lay the mounting bracket on the profile head from above.

●   The head nut extends into the profile head.

    Screw in the fillister-head screws. 25 Nm.

●   The head nut turns during fixing in the crosswise direction and is clamped tight in the profile head.

 

 

Mounting bracket	Rail mount

    Insert the rail mount into the mounting bracket.

    Push the rail mount far enough from the profile head (centre) so that there is a distance of 130 mm to the rail mount (centre).

    Insert the C-rails into the rail mount.

    Tighten all rail mounts by hand.

 

 

Connect two C-rails to each other:

	Rail connector

    Push the rail connector onto the C-rail.

    Push the second C-rail into the rail connector.

    Tighten the hexagon head screws M6x12 on all three sides while keeping the offset between the inner surfaces of the C-rails as small as possible.

The smaller the offset between the C-rails, the smoother the travel will be.

    Tighten the hexagon nuts M10 by hand.

 

 

At the end of the C-rail:

C-rail	End stopper

    Slide the end stopper in the C-rail.

    Screw on the end stopper with the hexagon head screw M8x20 until hand-tight.
