The following requirements must be met in order for the HB crane installation to be installed:
The requirements for assembly of the HB crane installation can be checked by ABUS through a technical pre-clarification.
─ The technical pre-clarification is in any case performed if the assembly of the HB crane installation is done by ABUS.
─ The technical pre-clarification can also be performed by ABUS if the HB crane installation is done autonomously or through other fitting and installation companies.
─ If no technical pre-clarification is performed by ABUS, the following requirements must be independently checked and documented prior to the installation.
Check the I-beam that is
to be used as the crane track:
─ The I-beam must be completely installed for installation (permanently welded or bolted in place, able to bear full load)
─ The I-beam and the whole supporting structure (building, steel structure, ...) must be adequate for the load caused by the crane and the attached load.
─ The I-beam may only have non-angled flanges.

View from above.
─ The I-beams must be parallel along their whole length.
─ Maximum track gauge lmax = I + 12 mm
─ Minimum track gauge lmin = l – 12 mm
|
Cross-sectional view.
─ Maximum height difference (in mm) of the two I-beams E = ± LS/500.
─ All planning documents for the HB crane installation must be present.
ABUS creates and calculates these planning documents separately for each individual HB crane installation (or for the reconstruction of an existing HB crane installation).
The planning documents are, at the least, comprised of a layout plan and a crane drawing.
The planning documents, especially the crane projections, must in any case be followed exactly.
─ The flange width of the I-beam must match the flange width of the trolley.
|
Measure the width of the
I-beam.
|
Check whether the flange
width F of the I-beam is within the range specified on the travelling gear
bolt.
