Note
The slew bearing can be driven in before as well as after erecting the pillar.
Once the pillar mounting has been attached and the pillar erected:
The figures show how the slew bearing is driven onto a pillar with a cylindrical pillar cap. There is no difference when a conical pillar cap is driven in.

Open the top part of the
pillar package.
If necessary: remove paint
residue from the bearing seat.
Place the slew bearing in
the bearing seat so that the larger diameter of the conical inner ring points
upwards (towards the jib arm once installed).

Lubricate the slew
bearing: put all the grease provided (80 ml) into the slew bearing.
Recommended lubricant: multi-purpose grease ABUS-AN 101336.
Use a wooden block to
drive in the slew bearing uniformly and straight.

Press the seal ring onto
the outside of the bearing seat.
The power supply in the pillar cap (from the main switch to the slip ring) is prepared first.

Push the mount and cable
fitting onto the cable.
Affix the wire end
ferrules onto the cable.
Push the cable through the
access portal and into the pillar.
Guide the cable
downwards.

Place the mount in the
pillar.
Insert the mount screw
through the head plate of the pillar from the inside.
Bolt the mount in place
from the outside.
Allow the free end of the
cable to dangle outwards through the access portal.
This is where the slip ring will be connected later on.
