Only with a slewing drive
This section applies for a slewing drive in all sizes.
The figure shows the installation on a slewing gear unit for a jib crane up to size 457. Installation on a slewing gear unit for a jib crane of size 558 or larger is, essentially, no different.
Installing the slewing gear on the slewing gear unit
The slewing gear is usually installed in a way that ensure the slewing motor is facing the trolley power supply. If necessary, the slewing gear can also be installed in a different position (in 90° increments) on the slewing gear unit.

Place the slewing gear
unit on its upper side.
If necessary: remove the
protective cover from the slewing gear.
Place the slewing gear in
the slewing gear unit.
Screw the slewing gear
onto the slewing gear unit using rib screws (4x) and washers (4x).
