Travel limit switch in individual operation and with tandem control system switched off

In individual operation (control of individual crane with tandem control system switched on) and with the tandem control system switched off, the behaviour of crane and trolley during the braking function is somewhat different than on a crane without a tandem control system.

Summary:

In individual operation and with the tandem control system switched off, the crane or trolley brakes completely when the switching point for the braking function is reached (intermediate stop for the crane axis affected). In order to continue travel, the button must be switched back from fast to slow travel speed first.

If the crane is running at high speed:

●   If the crane reaches the switching point for braking action, it makes an intermediate stop (crane brakes completely and comes to a standstill).

●   The intermediate stop does not affect the hoist and the trolley: They continue to travel if they were being moved.

*    Release the button for crane travel partly or completely.

*    If necessary, press the button for crane travel halfway again (stage 1) and continue to travel at low speed in the limit switch range

or

continue travel if necessary in the opposite direction out of the limit switch range at high or low speed

or

move, lift or lower the trolley or hoist at fast or slow travel speed.

If the trolley is running at high speed:

Trolley travel in individual operation or with the tandem control switched off behaves in exactly the same way as crane travel with the braking function.
