─ If a load is transported by two cranes with a tandem control system, there is a risk that a breakdown of one crane will not be detected immediately. The diagonal pull could cause the load to fall, killing or injuring people.
The cranes and the load must be monitored continuously during tandem operation.
Only use lifting tackle or load lifting attachments where the load will not fall in the event of diagonal pull.
Cranes with a tandem control system must be serviced particularly carefully.
─ There is always a risk when working with cranes in tandem operation.
In tandem operation, watch the load, cranes and area travelled over very carefully. Press the emergency stop button in the event of any problems or danger. If necessary, work with an additional banksman. Only lift the load as far as necessary.
─ Special technical expertise is required to correctly sling and safely lift and move loads in tandem operation. Otherwise, accidents could occur.
Personnel working with the crane in tandem operation (e.g. crane operators and load handlers) must first have received instruction. The end user is responsible for this instruction. Instruction must be carried out on the basis of this product manual among other things. It is recommended to document this instruction in writing.
