The ABUS load indicator system LIS-SV is a load measurement and evaluation system designed for hoists and crane installations. The LIS-SV is intended especially for use in hoist control systems. Its main function is overload protection by means of direct measurement of the weight of the load being raised. An optional load population recorder can be used to log the actual operating mode of the hoist. The LIS-SV is designed especially for use in establishing the total load and monitoring up to three hoists per crane. The typical use of the LIS-SV is overload protection on cranes with a total load that is less than the sum of the individual load capacities of the hoists, or when using a load indicator on the crane and/or in the control system.
