Aligning the crane track

Now the crane tracked will be aligned. The better the alignment of the crane track, the longer the service life of the trolleys and the better the running characteristics of the HB crane.

Baugröße

The figures show the installation of a steel HB profile rail of size HB150S. The installation of larger or smaller HB profile rails or aluminium HB profile rails does not differ significantly from this.

Baugröße

The figures show a short tension nut (short suspension XS and S). The installation with a long tension nut (short suspension M and L, normal suspension) is the same.

Verweis

This product manual describes the setting up of the HB crane runway on an M16 suspension. To set up the HB crane runway on an M20 suspension, see product manual "Installing the ceiling-mounted bracket 4LP/M20 and craneway suspension M20".

Checking the position of the crane track

*  Check the alignment of the crane track using a spirit level or hydrostatic level.

The tolerance of the crane track must meet the following criteria:

Height of a crane track runway:

Maximum height difference

Suspension

Suspension distance LB

Crane track runway

View from the side.

─     Suspension distance LB in mm.

─     Maximum height difference between two suspensions = LB / 2000

Deviation of span:

Maximum span

Minimum span

Span LS

View from above.

─     Span LS in mm.

─     Maximum span (LSmax) = LS + 12 mm.

─     Minimum span (LSmin) = LS − 12 mm.

Height difference between two tracks:

Maximum height difference

─     Span LS in mm.

─     Maximum height difference between two tracks = LS / 2000

Setting the position of the crane track

Correcting the height:

*  Turn the tension nut to adjust the height.

The tension nut can be used to alter the height by maximally 20 mm (+/- 10 mm).

Adjusting the span:

*  To adjust the span, shift the ceiling-mounted bracket 2LP/M16 or M20 to the left or the right in the elongated holes.

Inspecting craneway suspensions

*  Check all threaded rods.

The position of the threaded rods must meet the following criteria:

Threaded rod plumb-vertical

─     The threaded rods must be aligned plumb-vertical.

Gap in profile head

─     The profile link and the profile head must have direct contact.

─     Between the profile link and the profile head no gap should be visible.

Adjusting the craneway suspension

To adjust the slant of the threaded rods:

*  Position the profile connection in the profile head to adjust the slant of the threaded rods.

To set the contact surface between profile link and profile head:

*  Turn the tension nut to bring the profile link and profile head into direct contact.
