The following requirements must be met in order for the gear limit switch to be installed:

─     Gear limit switch without absolute rotary encoder: The wire rope hoist must be controlled from an ABUS electrics 3. 

Gear limit switch with absolute rotary encoder: The wire rope hoist must be controlled from a control with ABUControl.

─     The wire rope hoist must be already fitted with cables and connected. The connection cable of the gear limit switch (and, in the case of an absolute rotary encoder, also the connection cable of the CAN bus network or Modbus network) must be laid and connected to the hoist limit switch enclosure on the cable drum.
