Performance features

The trolley frame:

─     The trolley frame consists of bolted and pressed together side panels of high precision and strength.

─     The counterweight consists of filled plastic containers that are form-fitted to the trolley frame.

─     The deflection roller crosshead and fixed point crosshead are connected to the trolley frame by a bolt-free pin connection, and can therefore be changed quickly and easily when required.

─     The trolley frame can be folded out and placed on a main girder or I-beam from below. This enables very fast, easy installation without having to disassemble the wire rope hoist or remove attached components from the main girder (connection plate, end carriage, etc.).

The trolley drive:

─     The trolley drive is powered by a frequency-converter controlled trolley travel motor with a disc brake.

─     The trolley drive is comprised of a single-stage spur gear, a clutch and an output shaft that drives the wheel with internal gear teeth on the wire rope hoist.

─     The trolley drive is controlled using a frequency converter in the ABUControl crane control as series standard. It allows the speed of the trolley to be controlled steplessly.

The hoist trolley:

─     The hoist trolley is comprised of a motor-powered wheel and a wheel driven by a ribbed drive belt (belt drive).

─     The ribbed drive belt is tensioned correctly by means of maintenance-free tension rollers.

─     The hoist trolley can be equipped with a second, motor-powered wheel instead of a belt-driven wheel (option). This can be useful when main girders are uneven or single-rail trolley tracks are uneven.

─     The wheels of the hoist trolley do not feature wheel flanges. The hoist trolley is kept in the track by four series-standard guide rollers. All four guide rollers can be adjusted with a limited range.

The hoist drive with four-pole hoist motor:

─     The hoist drive is powered by a four-pole hoist motor.

─     The hoist motor features an electro-magnetically actuated spring-loaded brake.

─     The hoist motor is powered by a frequency converter as series standard. It enables continuous control of the wire rope hoist lifting speed and (with ABUControl) a two-stage movement profile.

Continuous control of the lifting speed: With a two-stage button or joystick, the drive can be accelerated in the second level up to a maximum value as long as the button is held down. If the button or joystick switches back into the first level, the drive maintains the current speed. If the button or joystick is released, the speed is reduced.

Two-stage movement profile: With a two-stage button or joystick, the drive can be accelerated to a fixed slow travel speed in the first level and to a fixed fast travel speed in the second level.

─     The hoisting gear features a multi-stage, helical spur gear in an alloy housing. The gear wheels run in a sealed oil bath, which ensures they remain lubricated over their full service life.

─     The hoist drive is cooled by an auxiliary fan as series-standard.

The hoist drive with pole-switchable hoist motor:

─     The hoist drive is powered by a pole-switchable 2/12-pole hoist motor with gear unit.

─     The hoist motor features an electro-magnetically actuated spring-loaded brake.

─     The hoist drive has a slow lifting speed and a fast lifting speed. The ratio of the two lifting speeds is 1:6.

─     Using plug-in connections in the connector housing directly on the hoist drive, the hoist drive can be quickly separated from the rest of the crane’s electrics.

─     The hoisting gear features a multi-stage, helical spur gear in an alloy housing. The gear wheels run in a sealed oil bath, which ensures they remain lubricated over their full service life.

─     For further details on the pole-switchable hoist drive, see the product manual “Pole-switchable, modular ABUS hoist drive for wire rope hoists”.

The hoist:

─     The wire rope of the hoist is a special wire rope with a very high breaking strength. This gives it a longer service lift than a normal steel rope.

─     The cable guide guarantees flawless winding and unwinding of the wire rope on the cable drum. It is made of wearproof, low-friction plastic.
