Installing the cable drum

For cable drums only

 

A cable drum can be installed on the wire rope hoist, which guides a cable to the bottom block. Electrical consumers, e.g. magnet systems, can be connected here to the bottom block.

They are installed on mounting bars that are affixed to the trolley frame.

   Turn the cable drum mounting bracket (to the left or right) so that the cable drum can be installed in a way that ensures that the direction of rotation (cable drum builds up spring tension when unrolled) points to the inner side on the wire rope hoist.

   Bolt the threaded plate loosely to the cable drum mounting bracket using rib screws M12x40 (2x).

   Turn the threaded plate on edge and push the cable drum mounting bracket into the mounting bars from the side.

   Screw on the cable drum mounting bracket until it is hand-tight.

   Seal the mounting bars with caps (4x).

   Hold the cable drum on the cable drum mounting bracket.

   Screw in the cable drum using rib screws M12x40 (4x) and rib nuts. 75 Nm.

   Tilt the cable drum mounting bracket in the slotted hole so that the cable drum is suspended from the wire rope hoist in an exactly vertical position.

   Shift the cable drum laterally in such a way that the centre of the cable drum is exactly at the centre of the bottom block.

The middle point of the bottom block corresponds to the middle point of the main girder.

   Screw on the cable drum mounting bracket. 75 Nm.

 

 

Rib screws M12x40

   Loosen the rib screws M12x40 slightly.

   Slew the cable drum so that the cable drum is suspended as close to the bottom block as possible, but cannot collide with other attached components.

   Screw the rib screws M12x40 in place. 75 Nm.
