Installing spacing buffers

The pictures show the procedure on a GM 1000 modular wire rope hoist. The procedure on GM 800 does not differ significantly from this.

For spacing buffers only

Spacing buffers can be installed when there are several trolleys on the crane. They prevent damage to the wire rope hoist if the trolleys collide.

They are installed on the mounting bars that are affixed to the flange plates.

Caps

*   Push the spacing buffers into the mounting bars.

Move the spacing buffers so that both exhibit the same distance to the middle of the main girder.

For a GM modular wire rope hoist and a GM compact wire rope hoist, install two spacing buffers. For two GM modular wire rope hoists, install one spacing buffer in the middle.

*   Tighten the rib screws to 25 Nm. 85 Nm.

*   Fit the caps (4x).
