The pictures show the procedure on a GM 1000 modular wire rope hoist. The procedure on GM 800 does not differ significantly from this.

   Inspect the fastening. The fixed point crosshead must be securely fastened and all bolts must be secured with SL safety clips.

   Inspect the fixed point crosshead. The drilled holes and the lower opening may not be cracked or exhibit any other damage.

   Inspect the bearing bushes for the fixed point crosshead in the side panels. The bearing bushes may not be cracked.

   If components are missing or damaged: Replace the components.
