The pictures show the procedure on a GM 1000 modular wire rope hoist. The procedure on GM 800 does not differ significantly from this.

   Inspect the deflection roller crosshead. The drilled holes may not be cracked or exhibit any other signs of damage.

   Inspect the bearing bushes of the deflection roller crosshead in the side panels. The bearing bushes may not be cracked.

   Inspect the cover over the reel. It may not be deformed or exhibit any other signs of damage.

   Inspect the reel. It may not exhibit any deep grooves or signs of severe wear.

If necessary, the reel can be carefully inspected using a special template. Please contact ABUS Service for this. See ABUS Service.

   Bolts and SL safety clips must be in place and secured.

   If components are missing or damaged: Replace the components.
