The pictures show the procedure on a GM 1000 modular wire rope hoist. The procedure on GM 800 does not differ significantly from this.

   Inspect the reel (1x or 2x). It may not exhibit any deep grooves or signs of severe wear.

If necessary, the reel can be carefully inspected using a special template. Please contact ABUS Service for this. See ABUS Service.

   Inspect the connecting profile, the rope guard and bottom block cover. They may not exhibit any deep grooves or signs of severe wear.

   If components are missing or damaged: Replace the components.
