Initial position:
|
The crane now lies stretched out on the floor of the building. First, the crane is raised on the side on which the portal supports will be assembled. This causes the portal supports to slew out to the main girder, where they can be bolted down.
|
Risk of the portal support falling! Uneven surfaces can cause the bolts of the
assembly joint to tear off and the portal support to fall. This can cause
serious injuries or death. |
|
Insert the inner cross
head beam on a crane.
Carefully raise the
semi-goliath crane.
● The portal supports pivot on the fulcrum of the assembly joint (on the inner cross head beam).
● The outer cross head beam pivots in front of the outer connection console.
● The diagonal braces pivot under the inner cross head beam.
● The lower end carriage rolls on the assembly rollers in the direction of the main girder.

Raise the crane until the
outer cross head beam is fully pivoted to the outer connection console.
The assembly rollers on the upper and lower end carriages should still lie on the building floor and not lift off.
