Instructions regarding safety

Observe these instructions for safe handling of the crane. Special hazard notices are located in the corresponding sections in which the danger arises.

 

─     Danger of crushing by the lower end carriage. Limbs may be crushed by the lower end carriage. Observe the operating range during crane travel! Wear protective clothing! Do not alter or remove the guard plates!

─     If the light barriers of the obstacle detection sensor are faulty, soiled or incorrectly set, or the obstacle lies in the blind spot of the light barriers in front of the end carriage, the crane may not stop in time to avoid colliding with the obstacle. Observe the operating range during crane travel! In the danger zone to the left and right next to the lower end carriage, there should be no fixed or laid objects at any point over the entire traversing range of the crane.

─     If the lower end carriage hits an obstacle during crane travel, the crane can be damaged and fall, causing injuries or deaths of the persons below. Observe the operating range during crane travel! ─     If personnel lean against the portal supports and the crane starts running, they could fall and injure themselves. Do not lean against the portal supports! Observe the operating range during crane travel!

─     Anyone riding on the lower end carriage with the crane will have no secure footing and could fall and injure themselves. Do not ride on the lower end carriage!
