If the lower groove can be seen on the tensioning nut, the bearing disc must be replaced.
Secure the crane girder
(e.g. using a suitable lashing strip) to prevent it falling.
Relieve the load on the
crane girder to such an extent that the weight is no longer exerted on the crane
girder suspension.

Pull the locking pin
out.
Dispose of the locking
pin. It must not be used again.
Take the washer off the
threaded rod.

Loosen the locknut.
Hold the tensioning nut
tight and screw the threaded rod upwards and out of the tensioning nut.
Take the circlip off the
tensioning nut.

Pull the tensioning nut
down and out of the clamping joint.
Take the bearing disc off
the tensioning nut.
Fit a new bearing disc to
the tensioning nut.
Push the tensioning nut
into the clamping joint from below.

Insert the circlip in the
upper groove on the tensioning nut.
The lower groove must remain free and is used to check the bearing disc wear.
Hold the tensioning nut
firmly and screw the threaded rod into the tensioning nut from above.
Secure using the
locknut.
Insert the washer from
below.
Push a new locking pin in
place and secure it.
