─     Frequency converters must be able to be disconnected from the mains supply at any time through main switches, fuses or similar devices.

─     Connection of energised motors, switching of a dual-speed motor or reversing the rotational direction through a directional contactor are not permitted.

─     The unit must be connected to a protective conductor according to the local and national regulations, the user must be protected from the voltage and the motor protected from overloading.

─     The leakage current to ground can be more than 10 mA. A protective conductor is obligatory. The wiring for the protective conductor must be kept as short as possible. The use of 30 mA fault current protection switch is not possible due to the leakage current. Only use fault current protection switches which are sensitive to universal current and which are suitable for operation with frequency converters.

─     Disconnect the power line before removing connection cables.

─     An emergency stop device must be available at all times.
